What's the word I want? - John Howe

After winning an essay competition in junior school the writing bug got to me, the bug is still eating away at my innards.

I spent 10 years as a qualified nurse in Britain’s National Health Service then 20 years as a university lecturer, where writing for publication was de rigueur. I regularly contributed articles on my clinical and academic specialities of cardiology and human sexuality/sexual health, to a variety of nursing journals in the UK.

I now live and work in Thailand and have written extensively on Thailand and its attractions and customs. I am a contributing editor for Thailand Health and Beauty Directory and Thailand Trade and Tourism Directory amongst a host of other publications.

Since arriving in Thailand I have found an enjoyable niche as a food, spa, restaurant and hotel reviewer.

I am a regular contributor to Asian lifestyle magazines: Expatweekend Thailand, Hua Hin Weekend, Expatweekend Singapore and have a monthly men's health column in Out in Thailand magazine. I am an 'honorary editor' to the BNH Hospital in Bangkok.

My newspaper, magazine and ezine articles have been published in the UK, the USA, Ireland, Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia.

If you would like to contact me by email I welcome any feedback
